Living in Boise, as in many other cities across the country, experience many different types of weather. One season ends while a new one begins. Winters can be cold and harsh while summers send you running for a piece of shade and something cool to drink.

If you are a homeowners, each year you should take the time to do some routine maintenance on your Boise home. In our daily routine it is easy to over look the day-to-day comforts that we use as long as they are working. Below is a very short list of some common items that should be checked on a regular basis.

1. The air conditioner should be checked annually to make sure it is functioning to the best of its ability.
2. The furnace should also be checked annually as well, it does need an occasional tune-up. Change or clean the filters in your furnace monthly to ensure it continues to run efficiently.
3. The foundations should be checked annually to see if there are any signs of cracks or shifting.

This list of “to dos” is very short but in the long run it can give you and your family peace of mind knowing that these items are running efficiently and correctly. Ensuring that your furnace and AC are in fine running order will help control heating and cooling costs.
